Join William & Mary’s Global Research Institute for the launch of Might of the Chain: Forging Leaders of Iron Integrity (Stone Tower Press, 2024), written by W&M alumnus Mike Studeman ‘88.

His book, considered an “Aesop’s fables of leadership,” is a phenomenal leadership guide for anyone striving to realize the leader they were meant to be, unleash their hidden potential, and conquer life’s toughest challenges. The short tales and key takeaways delight and astound, revealing the hidden world of intelligence and never-before-heard stories of unsung heroes tackling high-stakes crises in national security.

A moderated discussion by Pamela Eddy (Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs & Development) and a Q&A will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 5:30 pm in The Hive Event Space (ground floor of the Swem Library). A light reception will follow immediately after the event on the Conservation Patio.

Two-star Admiral (ret.) Mike Studeman graduated from William & Mary in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in Government. He is a distinguished graduate of two Masters programs and an Honors graduate in Mandarin Chinese. Admiral Studeman led many thousands of intelligence professionals over three decades culminating in command of the Office of Naval Intelligence. Mike has extensive global experience in intelligence, foreign policy, and defense matters. He met his wife, Lynne, at W&M and they have been married 33 years.

Co-sponsored with W&M Libraries.
