[PAST EVENT] Book Talk with Prof. Jerry Watkins

Prof. Jerry "Jay" Watkins III will talk about his book Queering the Redneck Riviera: Sexuality and the Rise of Florida Tourism, published last year by the University Press of Florida. The book recounts the forgotten history of gay men and lesbians in the Florida panhandle. Prof. Watkins is a Visiting Assistant Professor in W&M?s History Department and specializes in LGBT history. Discounted copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
