LocationThe Sharing Shelf | 47 Purdy Avenue | Port Chester, NY 10573
Access & Features
Please join William & Mary alumni, family and friends at The Sharing Shelf, Westchester's clothing bank for children. We will start our morning at 10 a.m. in the warehouse and begin with a brief orientation about the community impact of The Sharing Shelf, followed by sorting and organizing clothing donations to prepare them for distribution.
Important event details:
• Volunteers must be at least 10 years old and those 10-14 years old must be accompanied by a parent who actively volunteers with them.
• The Sharing Shelf is an active warehouse - volunteers should wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
• Most volunteering is standing but the TSS can make accommodations for anyone who needs to sit. They are not handicap accessible.
• The Sharing Shelf encourages volunteers to bring donations of new socks and new underwear for children in need as well as new and gently used clothing in any size, from newborn through teen sizes. All clothing should be seasonally appropriate (fall and winter), in clean, wearable condition ready for immediate distribution.
