AMP Welcome Back Concert with MAX featuring Shaboozey

There’s no better way to send off the summer and get a fresh start this school year than with AMP’s annual Welcome Back Concert on Saturday, September 7th! Join MAX with special guest Shaboozey at the Martha Wren Briggs Amphitheatre to kick off your year with a bang. Admission is FREE with a William & Mary ID and $10 for the general public. Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 8:00pm!

MAX is a charismatic pop artist from New York City. The multi hyphenate artist, actor and dancer has toured the world multiple times over, been featured in a Dolce and Gabbana campaign with Madonna, and starred in critically acclaimed films and television shows. With the breakout success of his 2016 full-length album, Hell’s Kitchen Angel, MAX yielded an inescapable smash in the form of his hit-single “Lights Down Low." MAX explains, “The new music continues to dive deeper into spreading a message of being true to who you are, wearing what you want to wear, loving who you want to love, and being accepting.” With his sophomore album on the way and a world tour in the works, 2019 is shaping up to be a huge year for MAX.

Shaboozey, whose parents are of Nigerian descent, was born and raised in Northern Virginia around the nation’s capitol. He is an eclectic musician, filmmaker, author, and producer whose sound was inspired by classic rock, '80s pop culture, Afro-beat, jazz, and hip-hop. Though his first output arrived in 2014 in the form of the "Jeff Gordon" single, he wouldn't release his official debut full-length until 2018 with Lady Wrangler.

Come check out these awesome artists and have a great time at the scenic Martha Wren Briggs Amphitheatre on September 7th!
