[PAST EVENT] AMP / Election Debate 2020
AMP Impact Committee has teamed up with Young Independents, College Republicans, Young Democrats, Young Democratic Socialists of America, and the Debate Society to bring you the Election Debate on Wednesday, September 23rd at 8pm via Zoom.
There will be an hour long discussion moderated by the Debate Society in which the four other clubs will discuss these 5 topics: COVID-19 Response, Social Issues such as Gun Regulation, LGBTQ+, Equal Rights Amendment, Foreign Intervention, Taxes, and Black Lives Matter & Abolishing the Police.
The discussion will be followed by a 20 min Q&A from the audience. We encourage you to submit questions beforehand using the link below either regarding the 5 topics or any other topic you are curious about.
Through this event we hope to encourage people to vote and spark conversations about the future of our country, regardless of your political leanings. Whether you’re up to date with everything political or get your news from memes, we encourage everyone to come out and learn!
