In the context of racial violence and responses to racial violence in our country, we strive to find the right balance between personal perspective and professional responsibility in a series of conversations about race, in order to promote a community of belonging, respect, and flourishing, three of our W&M Values, for the University Advancement team.

W&M Stands Program Objectives

By the completion of the programming, participants will:

• Explore key terms related to diversity, inclusion and equity;

• Reflect on and confront their own beliefs and assumptions about equity;

• Examine the role of prejudice and institutional bias, and how these dynamics affect behavior, productivity, and feelings of belonging; and

• Identify individual strategies for creating a more inclusive working environment.
