During this 4 week series, participants who have taken mindfulness classes through Wellness Applications or Introduction to Mindfulness through the McLeod Tyler Wellness Center, will dive deeper into learning strategies for working more specifically with anger and anxiety. The series will explore the centrality of emotions in our lives, habits of avoidance, and the emotion regulation styles that have developed over time as our response to emotions in a nonjudgmental way. Specific mindfulness strategies including breath work will be practiced as a way to care for our anger and anxiety on the path to making peace with our emotional lives that are a natural part of being human.
