A chamber choir made up of students from the College will sing works by Hogan, Ives, and Whitacre that display a small snapshot of the immense breadth of the American religious experience. Jake's own life experience with Catholicism and secularism, as well as his strong academic interest in the intersection of religion and politics, will hopefully provide a nuanced and original view on how American religious music embodies some of our national values toward religion.

Jake is a senior music and French major at the College. He has studied jazz voice under Stephanie Nakasian and conducting under Angela Holt and Akiko Fujimoto. During the last four years,he has been a member of the W&M Choir, the Botetourt Chamber Singers, Opera Workshop, Sinfonicron Light Opera Company, DoubleTake, and the Gentlemen of the College.
