[PAST EVENT] S.H.O.W. Day: Students Helping Out Williamsburg

August 23, 2011
11:30am - 5pm
Location
All over the Greater Williamsburg Metro Area!
Coordinated by the Office of Community Engagement and Scholarship (OCES), S.H.O.W. Day gives incoming first-year and transfer students a chance to get off campus and into Williamsburg for a community service project during orientation. You will gather for a kickoff lunch together with all S.H.O.W. Day participants and then head out into the local community. Not only will you have the opportunity to work directly with a local organization, but you'll also have a chance to learn about the many volunteering and community engagement opportunities available to you during your time at William & Mary. Your S.H.O.W. Day group will be guided by two upper class students who are both leaders on campus. In the past, S.H.O.W. Day groups have volunteered with over 20 different local non-profit agencies, including the Heritage Humane Society, Head Start, Housing Partnerships, Colonial Williamsburg, Cori Sikich Therapeutic Riding Center and York River State Park.

All participants MUST pre-register by filling out this form: {{https://forms.wm.edu/form/view/2512/4c99a9340b3e4c99412600dfc6204e2f}}.

Deadline for sign-up is August 17.
