Kellie Rupard-Schorr

Rev. Kellie Rupard-Schorr is the daughter of an aerospace engineer who got her nerdish ways naturally. She has a degree in Rhetoric and Public Address, and a master's in Divinity, as well as certifications as a sex educator, HIV/AIDS tester, and sexual trauma counseling specialist. She was ordained into ministry in 1989 and worked as an active member of the clergy until she retired from the pulpit in 2007. She has also worked in a HIV/AIDS Hospice, sexual trauma unit, as a hospice chaplain, as an HIV/AIDS counselor and HIV tester.

Kellie has been involved with writing throughout most of her life. In 2007 she took a position as a commissioned ghostwriter and has been doing that as a side job ever since. She has been published in academic journals, trade journals, short story anthologies, and magazines. She wrote a monthly column about GLBT spirituality for GF (Gay Friendly) Magazine for five years. Her book, Two Miles From Peace, was self-published in 2010. Kellie is currently the staff writer and editor for Heron's Wing Press, a small press publishing house in Williamsburg. She is also the writer for the comic strip Pea Green Coffee Cup and writes commissioned genre novels for national publishers.

When she's not writing she enjoys kayaking, chess, science-fiction, and hanging out with Cathy her partner of 14 years and their 3 beagles.
