Part 1: A Dialogue for All Genders
Wednesday, February 19
7:30 - 9 pm
Andrews 201

How can we individually find ways to be allies across genders and interrupt rape culture -- behaviors and patterns of hostility and violence toward women? One step is to deepen our understanding of how gender shapes how we see the world and how we walk through it. How does gender affect the way we have experienced the recent incidents on campus? How do we understand each other across gender differences? This is an event for people of all genders to learn and identify specific action steps together.

Part 2: A Dialogue for Women
Wednesday, February 26
7:30 - 9 pm
Andrews 201

Which women's voices and experiences get seen and heard when we talk about "women" as a social category? How do our experiences vary based on intersections of race, gender presentation, class, religion, or other identity factors? How have we experienced the recent incidents on campus based on these inter-sectional identities? How do we as women marginalize each other and how can we interrupt patterns of dominance along demographic lines to be allies to each other? How can we build solidarity across differences? This is an event specifically for women to learn and identify specific action steps together.
