Join President Katherine Rowe for a Charter Day event featuring Stephen Tang ’82 as he discusses his new book “A Test for Our Time: Crisis Leadership in the Next Normal.” Tang, a respected business leader, innovation seeker, commentator and current W&M Foundation trustee, draws from the wisdom of celebrated authors to illustrate how we can lead wholeheartedly through crises with compassion, vulnerability, risk-taking and learning. As CEO of OraSure Technologies Inc. from 2018-2022, Tang oversaw unprecedented growth driven by their revolutionary product, InteliSwab COVID-19 Rapid Test, an easy-to-use COVID-19 home test. 

The conversation will be moderated by Carrie Dolan, a spatial epidemiologist and associate professor in William & Mary’s Kinesiology Department. Dolan leads the multidisciplinary Ignite research lab based in William & Mary’s Global Research Institute. 

A reception and book signing will follow.
