Children's author Desiree Cooper and fabrication artist/illustrator Bec Sloane will take the class inside their collaboration to create the award-winning book, Nothing Special. They will describe how they germinated ideas and decided which content would be communicated through illustration, and which through words. The creators will also reveal the "Easter eggs" embedded in the illustrations that allude to the historical context of the story. 

First fifty to register will receive a free copy of Nothing Special. There will be a book signing after the talk.
