Have you ever considered initiating a research project for a group of undergraduates but are unsure how to get started, especially in a discipline where this practice may be less common? Are you curious about how to support undergraduate research but don't have the time to commit to mentoring many individual student projects? Join us for this Charles Center-sponsored panel on best practices for mentoring multiple undergraduate students in a group research framework. The session is aimed at highlighting successful projects from across disciplines, with time for your questions to the panelists. We'll also highlight partnering with faculty from other areas to create an interdisciplinary research project.

Research Group PI Panelists:

  • Melanie Dawson, English
  • Nicole Dressler, History
  • Greg Hunt, Mathematics
  • Arthur Knight, English, & Alexander Nwala, Data Science

The work of both Dr. Dressler's group and Dr. Knight and Dr. Nwala's group was recently chosen to be featured at the Inaugural Undergraduate Research Showcase at the Capitol.
