- Open to the public
- Registration/RSVP

The Art & Science Exchange hosts a presentation and discussion on “This Is Not My Art” by Adriano Marinazzo, Curator of Special Projects at the Muscarelle Museum. In this video art installation on Michelangelo’s fictive architecture from the Sistine Chapel ceiling, Adriano uses digital methodologies to transform a two-dimensional masterpiece into a three-dimensional structure for the first time. By blending art and science, Adriano brings an immersive experience of one of the most iconic works of the Italian Renaissance to William & Mary and the surrounding community, while simultaneously engaging audiences in Michaelangelo’s creative process and spiritual vision. Join us for a presentation about the digital tools Adriano uses to offer fresh perspectives on Italian Renaissance architectural history and art, to promote global mindedness and access in art education, and for a broader discussion on how artists can use science to “redefine the normal” for the public good.
