This First-Generation Friday, we are delighted to host a special event—a First-Gen Tea Party, designed to celebrate and honor the remarkable resilience, ambition, and unique journeys of first-generation students and community members. 

This distinguished gathering serves as an opportunity to reflect on the experiences that define the first-gen journey, from the challenges faced to the triumphs achieved. Through engaging discussions, participants will explore the themes of perseverance, self-determination, and the spirit of trailblazing that unites this community. 

Guests will be treated to a curated selection of teas and an array of delectable treats. This warm and sophisticated setting provides the perfect environment for meaningful conversations, mutual support, and shared inspiration. 

We extend a special invitation to Griffin mentors and mentees to join us for this celebration, as the event offers a valuable opportunity to reconnect, deepen existing relationships, and establish new connections within the first-generation community. Together, let us honor the achievements and shared experiences that define our paths, while forging a stronger, more supportive network for the future.
