[PAST EVENT] WMSO Gala: Maria Yefimova Piano Recital & Painted Violins

During the intermission, audience members are invited to participate in a raffle of hand-painted instruments. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the WMSO's tour to Philadelphia in March 2012.
Russian-born pianist Maria Yefimova has established herself internationally as a recitalist, chamber musician and orchestra soloist, performing in Italy, Spain, England, Slovakia, Croatia, Russia and the United States. She has appeared in the world's most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, Moscow State Conservatory Hall, Steinway Hall, Teatro Puccini di Merano and Slovak Philharmonic Hall. Ms. Yefimova made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2004 and will be returning to perform there again this season.
