Dr. Lichti is a quantitative ecologist with diverse interests in population and community ecology, animal behavior, and plant-animal interactions. His research seeks to understand diffuse coevolution in forest communities by scaling up from the mechanics of individual scatterhoarder behavior. To do so, he examines the decision-making processes by which animals, such as squirrels and jays, decide which seeds to harvest, eat, or cache, where to place caches, and how to manage them.

All are welcome to enjoy coffee and tea with the guest speaker at 3:45pm in Washington Hall room 201.
See you at the seminar!
