Are you interested in exploring philosophical perspectives outside the traditional cannon? Join a new student-led dialogue group where we will explore both our experiences and our intellectual interests, as students with non-traditional backgrounds, or as female philosophy students, or as students with interests outside the general core course offerings. We hope to discuss ways in which philosophy, as a discipline, could be more representative and inclusive of a diverse range of thought. We also plan to explore female philosophers, philosophy of race, non-Western philosophical traditions, and other topics members would like to suggest. The group is open to all students who are currently or have previously taken a philosophy course, majors, minors, or otherwise. People of all backgrounds, identities, and expressions are more than welcome to participate. An initial interest meeting will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd, from 5-6 pm in the Philosophy Seminar Room, James Blair 142. Contact Allison Doane at [[e|ahdoane]] if you have any questions.
