[PAST EVENT] MESA's Spelling Bee!

7pm - 9pm
The Middle Eastern Student Association is hosting its first spelling bee. All words will be of etymology of languages found across the Middle East. Registration to be a part of the Spelling Bee is $5 while attendance is $1. All proceeds from the event will go towards our philanthropy, the Karam Foundation. The charity is focused on helping the people of Syria and those displaced by the civil war in a variety of ways. One of those branches is education. The Karam Foundation has many innovative education programs for refugees and even children still in Syria like the Zeitouna project and even helps rebuild schools destroyed by bombs. We will be donating to this branch of the charity because we believe that education is the key to so many things including a non-violent future.
