[PAST EVENT] SYK Presents: Supporting Survivors Workshop
Someone You Know will be hosting a workshop to help participants feel more equipped and prepared to have conversations about sexual violence with those that have experienced it. We will begin with a short presentation of baseline Do's and Don'ts, then break into groups to think critically about scenarios that may occur or difficult questions that may be asked in these kinds of conversations. Although we will not describe details of any particular event, these topics are inherently triggering and during these conversations participants may bring up personal accounts of trauma. Know that we aim to make this a safe space, but do have members who are trained volunteers from the Haven that are more than happy to assist anyone if they would like.
