New Date! Rescheduled for next week - Salt marshes are beautiful grasslands, like inter-tidal prairies. Beneath its plentiful grasses a salt marsh hides strange animals wonderfully adapted to life between the tides. Dr. Johnson, Assistant Professor, VIMS, will reveal the stories of these animals, answer a series of questions, and perhaps provide you with Halloween costume ideas. Why was NASA interested in a ?fish-out-of-water? story? Why do zombie crustaceans mindlessly wander the marsh? Why can?t a snail let go of its past? And as our estuaries change, how are animals adapting?

There is no charge for this presentation. Seating limited to 60 people.
