[PAST EVENT] Griffin School Partnerships' First Mid-Semester Training
On October 11th, from 7-8pm, Griffin School Partnerships will be holding our first mid-semester training in Andrews 101! The topic will be Special Education. Students and classrooms falling under the umbrella of ?Special Ed? can be exceptionally intimidating for volunteers, particularly for those with limited prior experience working in these settings, as they come with a unique set of challenges. During the session, those in attendance will get to hear from Dr. Jacqueline Rodriguez, a professor from the W&M School of Education; she has extensive knowledge on this topic, and we are thrilled to have her! Our hope is that Dr. Rodriguez? well-informed insights will allow our tutors to feel more equipped to effectively assist in classrooms of students with special needs.
