The English department invites you to a lecture with James Purdon speaking on "Do Androids Dream of the Confederate Dead?: Fiction, Postmodernism, and the Civil War Centennial 1961-1965?.

Dr. Purdon teaches in the School of English at the University of St Andrews. He specializes in modernist studies, Cold War-era culture, and contemporary fiction. He is the author of Modernist Informatics: Literature, Information, and the State (Oxford University Press, 2016).
