Known for his work on Romanticism, Professor Christensen has published four books: Romanticism at the End of History; Lord Byron's Strength: Romantic Writing and Commercial Society; Practicing Enlightenment: Hume and the Formation of a Literary Career; and Coleridge's Blessed Machine of Language.

In Film Studies, Prof. Christensen has published articles on Spike Lee, "Neo-Corporate Star-Making in The Band Wagon," "Corporate Art, Studio Authorship," "Studio Authorship and The Fountainhead," "JFK, Batman, and the Manager Theory of Hollywood Film," and more! His current book project is America's Corporate Art: Studio Authorship of Hollywood Motion Pictures.
