Because he's both! Rev. Dr. Art Wright will be coming to join us for dinner and discussion where you can ask him, well, anything.

Art is currently the pastor at Williamsburg Baptist Church, an open and affirming congregation. Prior to serving as pastor there, his main job was as a biblical scholar. He served as Theologian in Residence for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia and was Associate Professor of Spirituality and New Testament at the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond from 2011 to 2019. He also taught at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA, Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Shawnee, KS, and Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA.

So, come with any and all questions about the Bible, its (mis)translations, its cool history - or to just roast a (very nice) Baptist pastor. Either way, you are welcome!

Dinner will be at 5 and Art will lead a discussion at 6, and will be located in the Wesley House, 526 Jamestown Rd.
