Waves of Wonder: A Marine Science & Art Incubator and Student Art & Science Mixer
Access & Features
- Free food
- Registration/RSVP
Waves of Wonder: A Marine Science & Art Incubator is a project funded through the Provost's Art & Science Exchange. Pairs or teams of undergraduate art and graduate marine science students will collaborate throughout the winter to produce an art piece which will be shared during a public exhibition in March 2025. Additional art & science learning and professional development opportunities will also be offered as part of this program. The Waves of Wonder program will provide up to $500 to compensate students for their time and artwork, with some additional funds available for art supplies.
The student mixer on December 4th from 5:30 – 7:00 PM in Sadler Center Tidewater AB will provide an opportunity for interested undergraduate art and graduate marine science students to meet and exchange ideas about potential art & science collaborations. We ask that if possible, art students bring a small sample of their work to share with potential marine science collaborators.
Please use the student interest form to register for the event and so we know how much food to order. Students interested in participating that cannot attend the student mixer should still fill out the interest form. Questions about the program can be directed to [[v| bsmith, Bethany Smith]].
