Abstract: The CDF Collaboration formed in the late 1970s as an effort to develop a colliding beam experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron high energy proton-antiproton collider. More than 30 years later, the experiment finally concluded its long run in late 2011. Over the years, CDF has produced a diverse set of measurements ranging from precision low mass physics to the search for the Higgs boson. We will talk about the science, technology and history of the CDF experiment, highlighting some of the most interesting and exciting results, including a summary of the Tevatron Higgs boson search.
