[PAST EVENT] Science Under Sail: From HMS to ROV--the Past and Future of Marine Research

The Virginia Institute of Marine Science and {{http://www.sailyorktown.com,Yorktown Sailing Charters}} have partnered for "Science Under Sail" cruises aboard the 105-foot schooner Alliance. On Wednesdays in April and May, guest scientists from VIMS will share their knowledge of Chesapeake Bay and its marine life with passengers aboard the Alliance during 2-hour cruises on the York River.
The Alliance is a traditional 3-masted schooner that embarks from Yorktown's Riverwalk Landing Pier, across the York River from VIMS. The 75-ton vessel can hold 49 passengers.
