Are You Interested in Learning More About Autism?  Do You Have a Child With Autism Who Is Transitioning to College?

The Neurodiversity Initiative at William & Mary is offering a two day course in DC!

Open to W&M alums, students, and the general public!

Day 1: students will learn about the concept of neurodiversity, and discuss how brain differences -- primarily autism spectrum conditions -- shape the ways in which neurodiverse people process information, think about themselves and others, manage their emotions, and navigate romantic and professional relationships.

Day 2: students will learn about skills that should be developed to be more prepared for the transition to higher education.

The workshop will be especially useful for:

  • Parents of neurodiverse children
  • K-12 and higher education professionals
  • Mental health professionals
  • Human resource professionals
  • Those who want to learn more about neurodiversity
