Join President Katherine A. Rowe and The Lemon Project: A Journey of Reconciliation for the dedication and unveiling of the Bray School Marker in the Brown Hall yard. The event will kick off the 9th Annual Lemon Project Symposium. The Bray School operated from 1760-1774. Founded by a London charity, school teacher Anne Wagner taught enslaved and free African American children. The Virginia Board of Historic Resources approved the university's request for a highway marker in June 2018.
