“Studying Pleasure Spaces for Multiply Marginalized People.” This talk will provide an initial overview of Dr. Schalk’s newest research project on the practice of pleasure activism. This project has involved interviews, participation observation and praxis to understand how and why pleasure spaces for multiply marginalized people are created as well as the impact of these spaces on participants. This work-in-progress talk will provide an overview of the project and discuss preliminary findings.
