[PAST EVENT] Mending Mindsets: De-Stigmatizing Mental Health at W&M
Access & Features
- Free food
- Registration/RSVP
Mending Mindsets is an event co-sponsored by FGLI (First-Generation and/or Low-Income) Student Organization, the Center for Student Diversity, and the W&M Counseling Center. The first half of the event will be a panel discussion with real counselors from the W&M Counseling Center. The main focus of the panel will be ways in which students from underrepresented backgrounds on campus can be supported by the Counseling Center. By getting to know some of the counselors in-person at this event, students will hopefully feel more open to seeking the support that they may need or want from the Counseling Center. We want all students on campus to feel as though they are heard, seen, and understood by the staff at the Counseling Center, and we want to ensure that there are no barriers to students from underrepresented backgrounds reaching out for help. The panel discussion will be followed by a dinner from Jersey Mike's.
