[PAST EVENT] Marissa Adams: Debunking Intersex Myths, Centering Intersex Joy

Marissa Adams (she/her) is an intersex person who has worked in the intersex community for the last 9 years. After attending the Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome-DSD support group (now InterConnect) in 2015, she found her place in the Intersex community and has since been involved with peer support and advocacy. She currently works with InterConnect, and Interact: Advocates for Intersex Youth. Marissa has a bachelors degree in psychology and is interested in improving mental health resources for the intersex people. She also has an interest in the unique intersection of religion and intersex. As a native of Virginia, she is honored to be invited back to William & Mary
