[PAST EVENT] DEI Summer Book Discussion: An American Marriage
Access & Features
- Registration/RSVP
Join Natoya Haskins, director of diversity and inclusion in the School of Education, for a discussion of the book An American Marriage by Tayari Jones.
Recognized by the New York Times, Washington Post, NPR and more as one of the best books of 2018, An American Marriage tells the story of a young African American couple living through a wrongful conviction. The New Yorker wrote, "The story . . . is both sweeping and intimate—at once an unsparing exploration of what it means to be black in America and a remarkably lifelike portrait of a marriage.”
W&M Libraries is offering unlimited access to the e-book for W&M users. Access it here.
Our discussion on July 12 will be an informal conversation. All faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the School of Education are invited to join us for an engaging hour of discussion and connection.
