Join the school's Director of Diversity & Inclusion Natoya Haskins and facilitator Michael Payne for a workshop on expanding your implicit bias IQ. We'll discuss the topic and explore strategies for the classroom.

Implicit bias involves feelings and attitudes we have toward certain people or groups that we are not conscious of that impact our actions. The primary goals of this session are: To promote awareness of implicit bias and to provide resources for moderating the negative effects of implicit bias within educational communities. The session will focus on application and allow participants opportunities to discuss and engage in strategies that can be used to reduce bias within the classroom and broader community. This session will be facilitated by Mr. Michael Payne, business strategist, organization developer, diversity and inclusion consultant, and human resources expert.

Michael Payne, President at Workplace Solutions Inc., has over 30 years of experience holding executive leadership positions in human resources, labor relations, and organizational development for ExxonMobil, Occidental, Chemical and GEO Specialty Chemicals.
