[PAST EVENT] Contested Traditions in Modern Chinese Culture: W&M Chinese Majors Forum

Charles Laughlin is the Ellen Wayard Weedon Professor of East Asian Studies, Director of the East Asia Center, and Professor of Chinese Literature the University of Virginia.
Listen to this year's class of senior Chinese majors discuss their individual research projects on Chinese culture and society during the forum entitled, "Contested Traditions in Modern Chinese Culture." The Forum features a keynote speech by Charles Laughlin, Ellen Bayard Weedon Professor Of East Asian Studies, Director of the East Asia Center and Professor of Chinese literature at the University of Virginia. Chinese graduating majors Hannah Clouse, Stephen Hurley, Kaci Kennedy, Emily Matson, Tim McDade, Jarod Partlo, Proud Patanavanich, Zach Raymond, Austin Strange, and Kristen Wong will showcase their honors and major projects research. A Research Award Presentation will follow student presentations.
