[PAST EVENT] From Lemon to MLK and Beyond: The Journey of Understand W&M's History with Race

On Sunday, January 18th, join Branch Out Regional and the Lemon Project Directors for a chance to uncover William and Mary's true relationship with racism, slavery, and Jim Crow. Please take the opportunity during MLK weekend to invest your time to learn more about W&M's history and its journey of reconciliation.

To sign up, email tamack@email.wm.edu. We only need roughly 10 participants for the transcription part of the day, but about 30-35 individuals can join us for the tour and porch talk/discussion. So in your email please indicate what section of the day you will be able to attend!

Here is the schedule for the day: 10am-4:30pm
10am: lemon project introductory information presentation
11-noon: break/lunch
1200: go to the lab and transcribe interviews (2 hours)
2pm:Tour of Wren building
3-4:30: Porch Talk/Reflection (discussing what they learned/where to go from here?)
