This talk by Dr. Jerry Watkins III, sheds light on an unknown part of Florida?s fabulous queer past and discusses Watkins? current work with the William & Mary LGBTIQ Research Project to diversify and queer the archive.

Jerry Watkins, Visiting Assistant Professor of History, earned his Ph.D. in American Studies from King?s College London. Professor Watkins? research focuses on LGBTQ communities and networks in the post-Second World War United States. His teaching assignments include courses in the Historian?s Craft, the Twentieth-Century United States, Social Justice Movements, and Monsters in American Popular Culture.
