[PAST EVENT] ELPR Spring Symposium
Access & Features
- Free food
- Open to the public
ELPR invites you to join us for our annual spring symposium on Friday, March 29, 2019. This year we are bringing together scholars and practitioners from across the nation to discuss the changing landscape of regulations in the mining industry.
The day's panels will survey both domestic and international legal developments in this field, including specific discussions of mountain top removal mining, science-based methodologies in developing environmental law, international frameworks for mineral development, and problems arising from Chinese mining companies in Latin America and Africa. Additionally, there will be presentations focusing on the intersection of federal and state regulations, as well as the relationship between environmental rights and human dignity.
We are excited about the complexity and diversity of these panels and we warmly welcome you to join us for a day of riveting and informative discussions. The event will begin at 10:30 AM and end at approximately 4:30 PM in Room 119; lunch will be served and a small reception will follow.
