Join the William & Mary Law School Student Intellectual Property Society (SIPS) for the 2021 SIPS Symposium: “Protecting American IP Across Borders.” The Symposium, which will take place on Friday, March 26, 2021, beginning at 1:00 pm ET, will focus on the challenges that intellectual property lawyers face when protecting trademarks and patents worldwide—particularly in a global pandemic.
The Symposium will consist of two panels—one focusing on trademark issues, and the other focusing on patent and § 337 issues. William & Mary Law School Professors Laura Heymann and Sarah Rajec will moderate the panels, and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of each panel following the moderated portions of the event. Each panel will feature attorneys in government, private practice, and in-house positions, and a full list of panelists will be distributed to attendees closer to the event date. - Welcome and Opening Remarks: 1:00 – 1:15 pm ET
- Trademark Panel: 1:15 – 2:30 pm ET
- Break: 2:30 – 2:40 pm ET
- Patent and § 337 Panel: 2:40 – 3:55 pm ET
- Closing Remarks: 3:55 – 4:00 pm ET
