[PAST EVENT] Volunteer Training for Name and Gender Marker Clinic

Morning Volunteer Training (10AM to noon at the Law School at 613 South Henry Street in Williamsburg)
From 10AM to noon, the Virginia Equality Bar Association (VEBA) will offer training for attorneys and law students who wish to volunteer at the Name and Gender Marker Clinic to be held later in the day at the National Center for State Courts. There will be a lunch break between the training session and the clinic. The event is hosted by the William & Mary law student Equality Alliance. MCLE credit is available.
Law students are encouraged to attend regardless of their year of study.

Afternoon Clinic (1 to 4PM at the National Center for State Courts at 300 Newport Avenue in Williamsburg)
The clinic will be held from 1 to 4PM in the Holton Room at the National Center for State Courts (adjacent to the Law School).
The clinic will assist clients with name change applications, petitions for gender marker changes, birth certificate corrections, DMV and social security record updates, DD214s (military discharge records), and answering related legal questions.
