[PAST EVENT] Chinese Studies Language Placement
For students who have taken Chinese in high school or at another college or university, Chinese program offers placement advising sessions from 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm on Monday, August 30, at Washington Hall 316. Students will meet with faculty from WM program in Chinese Studies to discuss their previous language study and decide on appropriate placement. Advising sessions are available on a first come, first served basis. No appointment is needed.
Please note: The placement advising is for helping students to find the most appropriate class to continue Chinese learning in WM. It is not an alternative way of fulfilling the Foreign Language Proficiency Requirement (FLP). For questions about alternate fulfillment of FLP, please visit the FLP website or contact the Registrar Office.
If you have any questions about the placement advising sessions, you are welcome to contact the Chinese program placement coordinator, Professor Qian Su, or Chinese program director, Professor Emily Wilcox. We look forward to meeting you!
