Location

Dr. Taras Filenko, pianist and music historian, will present a concert/lecture, revealing how past and current attempts to extinguish Ukrainian identity have resulted in continuing cultural tenacity and vibrancy. The performance will include solo piano works by Ukrainian composers from the baroque period to the present day, slides of artwork and photography, and commentary. Funding provided by the Gregory Tepper lecture fund. Co-sponsored by the REES Program, Swem Library, Department of Music and the Reves Center for International Studies.
