Molly Shilo (she/her) is a PhD candidate at William & Mary in the American Studies program who will be graduating this year. She has taught two classes for the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies program. Her scholarly interests include feminist and queer theories, critical race studies, and theories of the body.
Is it possible to know what another person feels or experiences? And if so, how do we arrive at that knowledge? In this talk, Molly thinks through these questions by examining empathic experiments: structures where individuals simulate another person’s lived experience.
