WebinarAccess & Features
- Open to the public
- Registration/RSVP
Please join us for the second of many hour-long conversations between LatinX alumni and current students. Through partnership with the LatinX Alumni Association and the Latin American Student Union (LASU), we are excited to offer monthly dialogues on topics including mental illness, machismo, careers, Latin representation in the media and many more.
The topic for August is allyship, in relationship to race and racism. Alumnus Horacio Carreño Karp ’10 will facilitate the conversation as participants seek to answer questions like, “What does racism look like within LatinX communities?” and “What are our responsibilities in challenging anti-indigenous attitudes and anti-blackness in the LatinX community?"
We hope you will join us as we strive to build the LatinX student and alumni community at William & Mary.
Horacio is a 2010 graduate of W&M and currently serves as the foundation relations coordinator at Faith in Action. Horacio is passionate about ensuring that families affected by mass incarceration, this country’s immigration system and economic injustice are able to heal and thrive.
