The Schroeder Center for Health Policy is pleased to host a talk on the "Policy Implications of the End of the Public Health Emergency" by Ariel Cohen (’14), Health Care Reporter with CQ Roll Call. Ms. Cohen's recent Roll Call articles have focused on the end of the public health emergency, heavy metals in baby food, regulation of CBD products, federal marijuana possession convictions, cancer funding, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), HIV, and the monkeypox response, as well as articles on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Congressional elections, and the Biden administration. She previously worked as a reporter with Inside Washington Publishers and the Washington Examiner. She was also editor and staff writer with the Jerusalem Post, a magazine intern and contributing writer for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and a press intern at the U.S. House of Representatives. While at W&M, she served as a student journalist with the Flat Hat.
Ms. Cohen’s talk is part of the Schroeder Center’s continuing efforts to educate students about a broad array of public policies related to healthcare and health.
