Join us for a tour of VIMS! During this 2-hour guided tour you will receive an overview of VIMS, a guided tour of our Visitors Center, and you will visit two of our research laboratories where you will talk with our scientists. On June 21, we will be visiting a lab that studies zooplankton (animals that drift in ocean currents) from the Chesapeake Bay to Antarctica and a lab that studies the effects of global change on marsh ecosystems. You will get to see different types of zooplankton, from salps to krill, and you will learn about the ways marshes keep up with sea-level rise.

Tours of VIMS are designed for adults. Children must be at least 9 years old to attend. Space is limited and registration must be completed at least two days in advance.

Registration for this event is closed. Please join us for one of our other public tours this summer.
