VIMS graduate student provides information on her research

Alewerks Brewing Company's L.A.B. Taproom in Williamsburg will be our host as three VIMS graduate students give 5-minute fast-talks on the important research they are conducting. Talks will take place every 20 minutes. Drop in, interact with the students, and enter to win door prizes and discounts. Students will have posters of their research and be available to talk with you between presentations. Speakers and topics for the evening include: 




7:00 PM    Cristin Wright - Muckety Muck: Why the animals and mud at the bottom of our rivers are so important

7:25 PM    Kayla Cahoon - How Sediments in Lake Matoaka have recorded fossil fuel use since Colonial Times

7:50 PM    Stephanie Peart - A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Modeling (and why models are so useful in understanding the local waterways we all love)


Please note that this event is taking place at the Alewerks Satellite Taproom located in the Williamsburg Premium Outlets. While there is no food service at this location, you are welcome to pick up dinner on your way and bring it in to enjoy while listening to science!
