[PAST EVENT] VIMS "Pumpkano" Contest

Who says Halloween revelers must carve their pumpkins as cats, bats or ghosts? Inspired by the yellowish-orangish hues of the Florida pompano, a common visitor to Chesapeake Bay during autumn, VIMS announces its first annual "Pumpkano" contest, in which we encourage our Facebook friends to carve their pumpkins as marine creatures (perhaps a catfish, witch flounder, or Vampire squid?), then post pictures of their spooky creations to the VIMS Facebook page by Monday, Oct. 29, at midnight Eastern Time. On Halloween Day, we'll honor a Grand Prize winner with a $25 certificate to the VIMS Gift Shop!
